マニュアル記載の内容ですと、特定のノードを指定してのレプリケーションについては

「SmartConnect zone name」を使用するというように認識しましたが、

ターゲットクラスタの指定に、特定ノードのIPアドレスを直接指定しただけでは

想定している特定ノードへのレプリケーション通信とならないのでしょうか。

※特定のIPアドレスをターゲットクラスタに指定しても自動的に複数ノードにレプリケーション通信が分散される仕様だったりしますでしょうか。

※レプリケーションポリシー設定時のターゲットクラスタの指定の際に、

オプションとして、「Connect only to nodes within the SmartConnect zone on the target cluster」のチェック有無があるのも上記に関連いたしますでしょうか。

→はい、なりません。おっしゃる通り、「Connect only to nodes within the SmartConnect zone on the target cluster」選択をすることによって特定ノードでのReplicationとなります。

CLI設定の以下オプションがその相当です。

根本的なところが理解できていなくすみませんが、前回記載しましたが、
